R3’s injection molded thermoplastic strut

is the heart of the system. It’s dynamically engineered for a Rapid Reflex to lateral ankle roll (inversion), diverting force away from oft injured structures. Its low profile allows for shoe integration, further enhancing performance. It can also be integrated into a lace up support, which, vastly improves its performance. The flex modulus of the strut, i.e. stiffness, is calibrated in three variations, Sport (Standard), Pro HD (Heavy Duty) and Hero (Extreme). Considering the wearer’s physical stature, sport or activity, position, footwear, playing surface, injury status, gender and activity’s duration and intensity in the selection process will optimize R3’s fit, feel and function. It’s the first off the shelf custom in the category.

  • Is the R3 strut moldable?
    Yes! The strut is made to be custom molded using hot water. Detailed instructions are provided with every R3 Ankle Brace.
  • Is the R3's top strap adjustable in lenth?
    Yes, the top strap has 3" of adjustability based on the attachment configuration. Refer to the detailed Sizing Guide for best fit. All unused products are eligible for exchange within the first 30 days in case you need a different size!
  • What is the best way to integrate R3 into footwear?
    The preferred method is to place the bottom strap and strut foot plate under the insole of the shoe - keeping the upright segment between the shoe's toungue and laces. This is dependent on the type of shoe and wearer. The best way is to use it how it's the most comfortable fit.
